Some major Hollywood stars who have filmed movies here include: Owen Wilson, Gene Hackman, Burt Reynolds, Kim Basinger, Annette Bening, Robert Duvall, Clint Eastwood, Brad Pitt, Dustin Hoffman, Farah Fawcett, Faye Dunaway, Jackie Chan, Alec Baldwin, Russell Crowe, Morgan Freeman, Juliette Lewis, Paul Newman, Leslie Nielsen, Tom Selleck, Jack Palance, Kevin Costner, Anthony Hopkins, Heath Ledger, Jeane Tripplehorn, Verne Troyer (Mini-Me) and many more! Our people and our industry are literally world class.

The Alberta film industry is a consistently growing business. Many are calling the film industry Calgary's next growth industry. In Calgary alone, this industry generates as much as $150. million into the local economy each year. About 70% of these productions are filmed in Southern Alberta. This benefits more than 2,500. people the industry employs. Everyone from local hotels, restaurants, merchants, transport companies, lumber yards, fabric makers, etc. enjoy the action."
